#OccupyDameStreet - This is what Democracy cooks like

Ask and ye shall receive.

No sooner had I lamented the lack of Direct Actions or activity beyond the ramshackle gates of Occupied Dame Street do a group of Camp residents go and organise something. Drawing on the fantastic cooking skills on display almost every evening in the kitchen, a pop-up Soup Kitchen was established outside the AIB on Grafton Street shortly after 4pm this afternoon. Passers-by were treated to free veggie soup to warm the cockles of their hearts as they shuffled off home in the drizzle-damp dark of a gloomy Wednesday in November. The crowds demolished the fare in double-quick time and with less than ten folks involved between cooking, serving and handing out information leaflets this shows that you don't need a thousand people marching of a Saturday afternoon to make an impact.

Please sir, can I have some more?
