With a Well-Tempered Clavier
On another musical note The Very Understanding Girlfriend and I had two friends over for dinner last night, and in addition to a rather tasty Rioja we were presented with an outstanding vinyl copy of 'Switched-On Bach' a 1968 album of Bach standards performed on a Moog by Walter (now Wendy) Carlos, who went on to score the soundtrack of A Clockwork Orange and Tron. When released Bob Moog called it "the most stunning breakthrough in electronic music to date", and thirty years later it still sounds amazing.
I think this will be a new rule in our house, all guests must bring music (nice wine remains optional). Mr. G set the bar pretty high last night though, and his vinyl donation is very much appreciated!
