Et je cours, je cours, je cours

Yet again a month passes since my last post. It's been a busy month (isn't it always), with a trip to Paris with the Very Understanding Girlfriend, a visit from the Best Finns in the World (Ever), and a trip to London and Brighton to see some mates.

I went directly from Wroclaw to Paris, to meet the Very Understanding Girlfriend. She had in fact organized an amazing weekend away, staying at the Sezz (a funky hotel in the seizieme arrondissement), revisiting the Musée de l'Orangerie, a whistlestop tour of the Musée D'Orsay, and seeing the Musée du Quai Branly with it's amazing African, Asian and Oceanic collections for the first time. We found two great vegetarian restaurants, and really relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. The only downside to the weekend was the unexpected timing of a rather large sporting event taking place on the Saturday of our visit, meaning the city was swamped with English and South African rugby fans, and we were forced to travel as far as La Defense to get a room for the night. The room was conveniently situated on the 12th floor, unfortunately the hotel officially only had 11 floors, and getting to the room required the use of the fire escape!

All in all a good time was had by all.
